Ghaziabad: In a shocking incident, a man first killed his wife and son, after which he tried to die by suicide in the Kavi Nagar area of Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh.
Following the incident, the accused Amardeep Sharma has been shifted to a nearby hospital where his condition is said to be serious. While the police have sent two bodies for post-mortem, the initial probe suggests murder and attempt to suicide in the case. During the probe, the police found a suicide note from the house., which was kept inside a register.
The accused took steps due to financial constraints
Sharing details DCP Gyananjay Singh said, “Preliminary investigation revealed that due to financial constraints, husband Amardeep killed his wife Sonu and his son. After this, he tried to kill himself. The police have also recovered a suicide note from the spot. In the note, Amardeep has written about the entire incident, which is being probed by the police..”
Even though it is still not clear in the suicide note on reason’s behind Amardeep’s extreme step, the police said the accused will be questioned once he recovers. “We are waiting for Amardeep to recover. We will be able to question him after that and share further details about the entire incident after that,” he added further.
In another incident, a 55-year-old man was arrested after the body of his wife was discovered in their one-room residence in Ambedkar Nagar. The incident came to light on March 1, when concerned neighbours alerted the police of foul smell that was coming from the couple’s house. The accused Bharat had allegedly strangled his wife, Sunita, 51, after a dispute earlier the same week. He had remained within the confines of their home for three days after the incident.
