The sedan segment leader in India, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, is all set to get a makeover with the country’s largest carmaker testing the updated version.
The 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire facelift has been spied, revealing details about the new features it will have. The Maruti Suzuki Dzire is not only preferred by private buyers, it is a popular choice for fleet operators as well.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire volume
While the sedan segment has been losing market share over the past few years in the face of stiff competition from the SUV segment, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire has held its fort. It is the seventh largest- selling car in India in FY24 (April-February) at 148,623 units. Although the Maruti Suzuki Dzire has done exceptionally well in terms of volume so far in FY24, the same can’t be said about other sedans. There is no other sedan even among the 25 best-selling models in the country this year.
2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire features
The spied image, courtesy theracemonkey/Instagram, of the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire facelift shows that the sedan will get a new grille, flanked by updated headlights. There will be new set of alloys as well. We expect new taillights and tweaked bumpers as well.
That Maruti is now very aggressive when it comes to offering bells and whistles in its cars, is supported by the fact that the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire facelift will get a 360-degree camera and an electric sunroof. While there is no image of the interior yet, we are expecting some changes to the dash as well with a new infotainment system and an automatic climate control.
2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire powertrains
The Maruti Suzuki Dzire on sale in India right now uses a 1.2-litre K-Series Dual-Jet Dual-VVT petrol engine, which generates 88bhp and 113Nm. There is also a CNG option (76bhp and 98Nm). While the petrol model has 5-speed MT and 5-speed AMT options, the CNG model only gets a 5-speed MT.
The car is highly fuel efficient. The claimed mileage is 22.41kmpl for petrol MT, 22.61kmpl for petrol AMT and 31.12kmpkg for CNG MT.
We expect the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire facelift to get similar powertrain options and continue with its handsome fuel efficiency character.
2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire price
The current Maruti Suzuki Dzire is priced between Rs 6.56 lakh and Rs 9.39 lakh (ex-showroom). A slight upward movement in the price range is expected for the facelifted version. The 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire facelift launch might take place in the second half of this year.
